What Are the Benefits of a Blog?

blogging

Continuous fresh content will mean Google needs to regularly index your site and is also a consideration when Google decides how to rank your website in search results. If your website doesn’t contain a lot of content, or any fresh content, a blog would be the perfect way to achieve this while also target specific keywords.

While it isn’t easy to commit to a blog, keep in mind that it may only be a weekly or biweekly update that is all you need to start increasing visitors. If don’t know where to start, try creating a list of different content opportunities. We regularly suggest using testimonials as blog posts, as they usually contain excellent keywords but also don’t require any writing time for the blogger. You can also use events, industry news and business changes.

How does this bring a return in visitors? As well as ranking new pages into Google, a good blog psot can also receive social media shares and links from other websites. All of this will also increases your ‘Domain Authority’, where Google considers your site a higher authority than your competition.

A Fresh Site For Blast Off!! Services – Responsive Website Design

homepage blastoff services

It's that time again when we pick one of our nice new sites and show them off to demonstrate what we can offer. Today we are proud to reveal the complete overhaul of the website for Blast Off!! Services (Spalding) LtdThe process of developing this website was a great example of how easy it can be to offer and develop new ideas when communication is prioritised. As a result, the design features a number of unique elements, such as the responsive homepage layout that would have likely left most responsive developers scratching their heads. So, as always the question is how do we go from an inventive idea such as the image on the left (desktop view), and make it a mobile friendly page of code. Our chosen solution was to order a new layout of the same elements one after the other, as demonstrated in the image on the right (tablet view).

Services (Spalding) website had been in need of a refresh for a while and sometimes a fresh pair of eyes can make all the difference. Having a dedicated in house designer has allowed us to provide this exact service straight away and proceed to development with the assuring of a fresh, modern design.

This website was a pleasure to produce and we are looking forward to hosting and supporting the site on behalf of our new client in future.

FREE “CLICK TO CALL” BUTTON WHEN YOU PLACE AN ORDER FOR A RESPONSIVE WEBSITE

We’ve been busy adding new services to our portfolio and one of them is a “Click To Call” button.

The main aim of Drive By Websites is to help our clients in every way possible to make their businesses as successful as we possibly can by utilising new technology as it comes our way.

According to the Mail Online on the 4th September “We’re A Nation of Smart Phone Shoppers” because visits to retail websites from mobiles has overtaken desktop traffic for the first time.

Thinking this through it became clear that converting Smartphone visitors to a responsive website is very different from converting customers using desktop websites.

Smartphone users are very unlikely to scroll down to complete a contact form – more especially if its lengthy.

Because they have their Smartphone in their hand, it seems logical that they will give you a call.

To use “advertising jargon” – A “click to call” button could make all the difference between getting a new client or losing them forever.

But, before we can install a “click to call” button, you will need a responsive website.
An example of a “click to call” button we have recently installed – please check out http://ambiancehi.co.uk/ using your smartphone, tablet or smartwatch.

Drive By Websites has put together what we think is a rather nice package – a free “click to call” button when you place an order for a responsive website.

People want to view your website using Smart Phones

Over the last few years the way people access the web has changed. A potential client may access the web on any number of devices throughout even a single day. So your website needs to be viewable on any screen size to give visitors to your website an optimal viewing experience.

During the latter part of 2013, Drive By Websites was working on an affordable website solution to satisfy the requirements of all these devices without the need for multiple websites.

The solution is commonly known as a “Responsive Website” i.e. it resizes and re-proportions itself according to the device browsing it. It makes your site fully readable and images and menus resize themselves in a familiar way so that people navigating via keyboard, mouse, finger-swipe etc on various devices do not strain their eyes in trying to read tiny text.

Here’s another responsive e-commerce website, Drive By Websites has recently designed and created on behalf of our client, Robin Hoile.

Robin was previously the proud owner of a Drive By brochure style website but has now upgraded to a responsive e-commerce website – http://lincsgaragedoorservices.co.uk

Here’s How To Get Your Phone To Ring

Here’s how to get your phone to ring

“We’re a nation of smartphone shoppers! Visits to retail websites from mobiles overtakes desktop traffic for the first time” – source : Mail Online – 4th September 2014.

But, how do you make it easy for all these smartphone shoppers to call you and get your phone to ring?

The solution is the installation of a “click to call” button on your responsive website.

Remember, converting Smartphone visitors to a responsive website is very different from converting customers using desktop websites. Smartphone users are very unlikely to scroll down and read a whole load of content wording and then send you an email, more especially if there’s a lengthy form to complete.

Because they’ve got a phone in their hand, Smartphone users are much more likely to make a phone call, so why not make it easy for them by including a “click to call” button. And don’t forget, your number will be stored in their “recent contacts”.

An example of a “click to call” button we have recently installed – please check out http://ambiancehi.co.uk/ using your smartphone, tablet or smartwatch.

In 2013 60% of consumers searched for local businesses on their smartphone (2013 Mobile Marketing Statistics by LocalVox – http://goo.gl/gNTY91 )

The solution to get your phone to ring is simple – include a “click to call” button – a “click to call” button could make all the difference between getting a new client or losing them forever.
