People want to view your website using Smart Phones

Over the last few years the way people access the web has changed. A potential client may access the web on any number of devices throughout even a single day. So your website needs to be viewable on any screen size to give visitors to your website an optimal viewing experience.

During the latter part of 2013, Drive By Websites was working on an affordable website solution to satisfy the requirements of all these devices without the need for multiple websites.

The solution is commonly known as a “Responsive Website” i.e. it resizes and re-proportions itself according to the device browsing it. It makes your site fully readable and images and menus resize themselves in a familiar way so that people navigating via keyboard, mouse, finger-swipe etc on various devices do not strain their eyes in trying to read tiny text.

Here’s another responsive e-commerce website, Drive By Websites has recently designed and created on behalf of our client, Robin Hoile.

Robin was previously the proud owner of a Drive By brochure style website but has now upgraded to a responsive e-commerce website – http://lincsgaragedoorservices.co.uk

Here’s How To Get Your Phone To Ring

Here’s how to get your phone to ring

“We’re a nation of smartphone shoppers! Visits to retail websites from mobiles overtakes desktop traffic for the first time” – source : Mail Online – 4th September 2014.

But, how do you make it easy for all these smartphone shoppers to call you and get your phone to ring?

The solution is the installation of a “click to call” button on your responsive website.

Remember, converting Smartphone visitors to a responsive website is very different from converting customers using desktop websites. Smartphone users are very unlikely to scroll down and read a whole load of content wording and then send you an email, more especially if there’s a lengthy form to complete.

Because they’ve got a phone in their hand, Smartphone users are much more likely to make a phone call, so why not make it easy for them by including a “click to call” button. And don’t forget, your number will be stored in their “recent contacts”.

An example of a “click to call” button we have recently installed – please check out http://ambiancehi.co.uk/ using your smartphone, tablet or smartwatch.

In 2013 60% of consumers searched for local businesses on their smartphone (2013 Mobile Marketing Statistics by LocalVox – http://goo.gl/gNTY91 )

The solution to get your phone to ring is simple – include a “click to call” button – a “click to call” button could make all the difference between getting a new client or losing them forever.
